Blenders Pride Fashion Resource Book Calendar 2012

Blenders Pride Fashion Resource Book, the ‘black book’ of Indian fashion industry (http://www.fashionresourcebook.in/) expanded its coterie of unique features by launching its first fashion calendar- Blenders Pride Fashion Resource Book (BPFRB) Calendar 2012.
And I was of course, more than happy to be have shot it, though the time I got for planning and execution was practically only 48 hours.
The calendar featured fashion designers- Neeta Lulla, Rocky S, Wendell Rodricks, Rahul Khanna & Rohit Gandhi, Mandira Wirk and Raakesh Agarvwal who were part of Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2011. These are amongst some of the best designers in the country today and need no introduction.

The unique BPFRB calendar takes its cues from the sole sartorial epithet,” Style-Unfettered’- a concept that handpicks and unveils a color for every month of the year and then amalgamates it well with the hi-octane glam outfits of the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour’11’s stylish band of designers.
Models always make a difference to the calendar and its always difficult to find good ones in less time, but Kwan being the talent partner, I had six good models – Manasvi Mamgai, Priyanka Kandwal, Neha Hinge, Shweta Doli, Malvika Mohanna and Gurpreet Bedi.
I had no clue how I was going to shoot the calendar at such short notice with not even the concept or the location in place, and yet do justice to the amazing outfits by the designers. However, in spite of all the headaches and hurdles and the limitations that I had, it turned out to be a fun- filled n exciting shoot and we managed to pull off a decent set of pictures. Needless to say Neha Ahuja, the stylist (and herself a well known model) had to put in lot of hard work in putting the looks together. But she managed a brilliant job with able support from Shane Clarke who did the Make up & hair.
We shot it at Vis a vis studio -it sells the most beautiful modern designer lights you will find anywhere in this world- all thanks to dear friend Amit Gupta (http://www.visavisindia.com/).
I am hoping this year if we shoot, I will have enough time to prepare and execute, but knowing my friend Atul Pandey well-it’s an unlikely case.
But that's what I love about this job- you are always working against deadlines.
Below are a few calendar pages-
