RESTLESS — Wear Action.

Activewear photography needs to do more than show the garment. It needs to suggest movement, flexibility, strength and the lifestyle around it.

For this RESTLESS campaign, I kept the visual language clean and contemporary, allowing the silhouettes and colours of the collection to stand out. Exercise balls, weights and simple fitness movements became part of the composition, while the large windows and predominantly white environment gave the campaign its bright, energetic feel.

I have always enjoyed creating fashion and lifestyle images where the product remains important without the photograph becoming simply a catalogue image. The idea is to create an aspiration around the product — something that advertising photography, at its best, has always tried to do.

The campaign also featured actress and model Rashmi Nigam, and we created a series of images that moved between fitness, fashion and portraiture while retaining the strong, athletic character of the brand.
